2014 Character Cup - 1D

Congratulations to Felicity Smoak, Donna Paulsen, Elijah Mikaelson, and Raymond Reddington for making it into round 2 of the Character Cup. None of them had a hard time, which only means that things will get tougher in the next round. The only surprise for me yesterday was how many votes Homeland's Carrie Matheson got. I figured Reddington would be like Felicity and garner over 80% of the vote. Today's polls have me a little leery of my bracket again as I expect one to be fairly close. The others not so much. Again the real competition will come in rounds 2 and 3. Thanks to everyone who made yesterday's discussion the best yet. If you have a topic for TV Talk, please let me know so I don't run out before the contest does. As always, play nice and happy voting!

Polls close - Thursday around 4 pm CST

Prediction contest results - Janna continues her red hot streak of 100% correct so far, while Emma also got all the polls right today. Nice job!

TV Talk topic - Since we spent yesterday talking about the villains, now it's time for the heroes. Who are your favorite TV heroes, past and current? What makes a good hero to you? What aspects of a hero's journey are the most interesting? Are there any hero tropes you are tired of? Which do you find more compelling - heroes or villains? Do you prefer action heroes or ones that win with their brains?
